De Waveyz

Promise Sunday James, better known as De Waveyz is a Nigerian Afrobeat musical act born on September 30, 2005 in the Essien Udim part of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and was discovered for his unique style in making generational and energised music, with blending of Afrobeat and Afropop genres that creates a beautiful result of Afro Fusion, as he stays consistent and passionate in the industry with his craft.

He developed the interest and passion for music at a young age, as he was growing up and decided to pivot himself into the industry by during freestyles on social platforms to create awareness of his potential in the craft and increase his recognition, around October of 2022, until he got his first gig to perform at Harbour Point Event Venue in Lagos State, Nigeria where he met with the likes of Oluwa Femzy and Feranbanks, amongst other celebrities, where he created music relationship with them.

This young star went on to record and release his debut song “GRACE” in May of 2024…

and went further to drop an EP tagged “BEST MOODY” which contained two tracks “GINGER & GRACE”

In his time in the industry he has already vetted out a total of 5 songs on all music streaming platforms across the globe, exclusively on Apple Music and iTunes, including several collaborations dropped this year, such as “RISK” in which he tagged Oluwa Femzy and Wxnda along with “HURRICANE” featuring well known superstar, Jimmy Gid.
