Mavin Records talented and adored young signee, David Osemeke, popularly known as Boy Spyce blows out his vocals on this life changing and experience masterpiece of a song, “ARISE” featuring pioneer comic rapper in the country, Falz with his well calculated flows, rhymes and lyrical balance, and was released today, 27th of March 2026, to the attention of not just the fans and listeners, but also to the society at large, including government and non-government organisations, national and international politicians, along with civil groups and human rights attaches, with a passionate expression.
The Edo state born singer is usually known for his vigorously soft, romantic and intimate type of songs, prior to inception into the music industry, from signing with Don Jazzy’s Mavin records in 2022, and went on to drop his first official project “BOY SPYCE” that same year, after basking in notable features alongside his fellow label mates, Ayra Starr, Magixxx, Crayon, Ladipoe and Rema, on some series of songs such as “WON DA MO” and “OVERDOSE” before venturing into making classic singles that caught the attention of more audience with songs such as “FOLAKE”, “CARRY ME GO” featuring singer and trapper, Khaid and “PEPE” featuring T-Classic, all in 2023, and another popular follow up with “ACHALUGO” featuring IYOO cartel rapper, JERIQ in 2025.
But, he comes with a different angle of attention and direction on this particular song, in which he pushes his narrative to past and present happenings in the general society, amongst invalid leadership, oppression, destruction and extortion of the colonial masters and their negative infestation on African soil.
The plot of this sound, is to honour the memories and legacy of past leaders that fought for the independence of the continent of the blacks, while they had their lives snatched away from them during the process, and a cry out to the current governing bodies in the continent of Africa and beyond.
