Nigerian rapper and lyricist, Olatunbosun Olaonipekun, better known as TROD has just disengaged another explosive new vibe into the music airwaves recently with a collaborative joint effort including one of the country’s most entertaining and prominent Grammy certified record producer, Eze Chisom Faith, popularly known as REXXIE, as they release the song titled “PROBLEM” for popular demand assimilation and for comercial consumption in the national music market.
The younger brother to the late iconic and influential indigenous yoruba rapper, Oladapo Olaonipekun, but well known as Da Grin, engaged his lyrical prowess and came through with a whole new level of sound, by cooking this brand new banger with Rexxie, who has been known to engineer sounds that are highly danceable with vigorous drums, bass percussion, and strong level of intoxicating depth, as it singles out his type of production to be uniquely identified as his pure work of sound art, by mixing straight up South African amapiano sounds and fusing it in an afrobeat rhythm, to create a magical afropiano sound, accompanied by street pop integration that is now widely a popular genre in Africa and beyond.

The rapper as been making known that he is on a mission and has a vision of continuing his brother’s legacy, after the passing on of Da Grin in 2010, and the full meaning of TROD stands for THE RETURN OF DAGRIN, exhibiting the passion he has to regenerate the short music and impactful legacy that his brother left behind, and he has been actively releasing successful tracks, featuring the likes of Olamide, Psycho YP, and even a featured song from Dremo, as he stands to make a mark and carve out a niche for himself from his brother’s footprints, as he also goes heavy on yoruba themed songs such as, “Eru”, “Ise”, “Ma Jaye”, “Ode Lo Like” amongst other tracks.
The song is a heavy magnitude jam that is built for party settings and to be commercially played in places for leisure and fun filled events, as it features strong of instrumental that will sweep you off your feets to start dancing or moving your body the moment you hear it.
